I once got pulled over for passing a cop and got a ticket for going 57-58 in a 55mph zone. I had been looking at my speedometer the whole time, and mine was never over 55.
Decided to take it to court because it was ridiculous. I had to take the day off (out-of-state), and the whole court encounter took about 30 seconds without me having to say anything.
Just prior to starting the procedure the prosecutor asked the cop about it and I happened to be sitting in the bench behind them.
"Did you get him on radar? NO."
"How do you know how fast he was going? He passed me."
"When was the last time you had your speedometer calibrated? uh dunno."
At that point the cop got a good tongue lashing from the prosecutor. He then found me and told me it was done. Still had to pay the court costs though.

Wait, why did you have to pay the court costs?!?
