Cop claimed aggressive youth who swung at him had reached for his gun, at which point he fired his gun at the youth in self defense. Newly released surveillance footage.. shows cop running up behind the youth, then smashing him in the head with his gun in a surprise attack...

What they were answering

Yeah! That guy is TOTALLY every cop out there.

And every man who is near a child is going to molest them.

Stereotypes like these make me sick. I understand you're frustrated with what happened to you, but there are thousands of good cops out there who are willing to take a bullet for you and this is how you think of them.

For every single story like this, there are a hundred other stories of an officer risking his life to save someone from a burning car, stepping in between an abusive husband with a weapon and his wife, giving a teenager a ride home and a safe person to talk to, etc.

Fuck you for thinking like this.

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb

Well fuck you too! Stereotypes exist for a reason. This in not an isolated incident either. I've had cops lie in court to get me on a traffic offense multiple times. I used to drive around a white sports car that stood out like a sore thumb. I would get pulled over on a monthly basis, not even doing anything wrong. I've dealt with so much bullshit it's insane. TRAFFIC COPS ARE CORRUPT SCUM. I have family members that are police officers, and they all agree with me. Traffic cops are the ones that are too stupid and ignorant to get a real police position. They are not there protecting and serving me, they are revenue generators enabled by a system that favors their testimony over the facts. I've been held at gunpoint multiple times and treated like scum. Not that it matters, but I am a white guy too. This transcends the race boundary, and I can only imagine the shit that some of the minorities have to put up with. It's disgusting! So criticize away about my reaction to this BS system, but the reaction is there for a reason!

Six Boston cops fired after testing positive for cocaine have been ordered reinstated — with back pay

Replying to ipretendiamacat · I'm not quite sure I get this... he's just grabbing cocaine powder and stuffing it in his pocket? I don't know his cookie policy, but I'm fairly certain the drug users would be car

I think he might be lying. Nobody puts cookies in their pants pocket.

The Chicago City Council just voted 43-2 to decriminalize possession of marijuana.

Replying to slybrows · He should have said that it's already de-criminalized if you're white *in Chicago*. The cops here are pretty. fucking. racist.

All the Chicago cops are pretty? Damn!

Earth’s richest 1,000 individuals now control as much wealth as the poorest 2.5 billion people on the planet. This super elite uses its vast wealth to control the media, influence politicians, and bend laws to their favor.

Replying to [deleted] · No many of them live in this country. This country is a seething shithole of an exponentially growing extreme poverty class. 46.37 million Americans live below the poverty line a

While I agree, the poverty line here in the US is slightly higher than many countries. I've seen things in Egypt, Mexico, India, Africa etc. that are on a whole other scale.

Aurora shooting victim could face $2 million in medical bills because of lack of health insurance

Replying to [deleted] · This. Hell, my grandfather was in the hospital after a stroke for three weeks before passing and his total bill for everything was ~$17,000,000. Yep, that's not exorbitant at all

While I agree medical costs are out of control, I have a hard time believing that your grandfather's 3 weeks stay cost $17 million!

Is it true? Did the baby-boomers take advantage of the social programs their parents created and cemented, then voted to dismantle those same benefits for their children in the name of freedom, individual responsibility, and more benefits for themselves? Can a generation be that selfish?

Replying to torpidnotion · The generational theory doesn't take into consideration the proliferation of technology. It's especially true that in the past 20 years, technology has shortened this cycle. Ther

This is what I was thinking. Perhaps the cycles will shift or change entirely, given our new ability to transfer knowledge faster. Why do the cycles always have to be the same, or happen at all, regardless of innovation

What are the implications if having a gun in your car, then getting pulled over for criminal speeding. Are you breaking firearm law then too, or is that overlooked?
