Yeah, it makes sense, at the end of the day you need to prioritise and there is only so much energy and time that you have available. But if you guys do end up having time (lmao) for some reason, i do think it would be a nice thing to add. For example, the studies that you cited that you say you were involved in, if my memory serves me correctly, ive seen those floating around and being somewhat vaguely associated with ND, basically someone heard from someone that you said something, and without 30 min of digging its hard to get an answer. I think it also sucks because you do say quite often that you guys are taking part in research and that there are some interesting things you do/ find out in them, but because it does not get highlighted it seems like you guys just keep saying over the years "the studies are coming" "we are involved in something big", but once you guys finish them, there seems to be not as much talk about the studies that are finished and that leaves a lot of people feeling like its used like a "marketing thing", that you are basically saying it for brownie points, and unless you do a lot of digging you dont find these studies and you can often be left feeling that you guys are being politicians in some ways, where you make promises but dont fulfil them if that makes sense. In my opinion this seems like something very important to fix and also seems like one…

In my opinion this seems like something very important to fix and also seems like one of the easier things you could fix, compared to a lot of the other issues you guys have already solved. Especially since from what ive seen, a lot of your customer base has accumulated due to your reputation.
I discussed the reason for that a bit in this comment:
We had a lot of science and research in the works that was affected by our lovely time with the federal government. We were raided by over 50 armed federal agents from at least 6 federal agencies on December 7th 2021. I went into it a bit in the below thread.
It was absolutely insane! Our facility was surrounded by black SUVs, and suddenly our entire building was filled with agents... some of them holding my team at gunpoint. One of my warehouse guys was carrying printer toner through the warehouse, and a US Marshall pulled his gun on him and screamed: "Drop the box now!" They were at our facility for 18 hours, and tore the place apart. They had 4 full semi trucks backed up to our roll-up doors, and seized over $4.5M in stuff that day. That set off a two year set of events that almost led to me in prison and Nootropics Depot shut down. I won't belabor it any more than I have to, but you don't have the United States federal government put that many resources into coming after you and have it be a fun time. It was the most difficult period of my life, and it resulted in massive shifts to my organization. Significant parts of my team left because of the uncertainty and stress. This included large parts of my scientific team, including my science director. I also lost my marketing director. This basically meant I had to personally take over and oversee both science and marketing operations, while also trying to run the rest of the company, and navigate a massive federal investigation into us. The people who were working on a lot of our high level science efforts from that time are no longer with me. Also, it's probably pretty obvious, but my main focus for that two year period was staying out of prison and keeping us in business. I had to pause anything that was not critical to that core effort, and frankly publishing papers on our scientific efforts is not critical enough when you are facing 15-20 years in prison and bankruptcy. All said and done, the situation cost me around $15,000,000. I'm fortunate in that I always structure my businesses for worst case scenario, and I was a very early adopter of Bitcoin, so I was able to get us through it all. However, it was only just barely. After settling it, I had to rebuild multiple parts of my team and processes. I'm happy to say that those efforts have proven to be better than I could have expected, and my science team I have now is even more capable than before. We've made a lot of progress in a short amount of time on many of the open-ended projects from before the raid. However, nothing moves as fast as you would like. It's just taken us time to right the ship and get back to positive movement.
I definitely understand why some people would form their own opinions around things throughout that time. It didn't help that I went totally radio silent on the issue for years. I was explicitly told by my legal team to say nothing, and I didn't. That was extremely difficult for me, as I always prefer to just openly discuss things going on. However, I was not able to for a two year period, and really guarded about how much I said afterwards as well. This resulted in many people assuming many things about myself and our efforts. Competitors jumped on that opportunity to spread BS about us as well. This has resulted in crazy narratives around multiple situations. Nobody has any real idea of the actual facts, though. People think they do, but they don't know the half of it. Then average normal customers get wrapped up in the lies and BS. I don't blame them. When you are only hearing one thing, and you don't have me or the company coming in to correct it, what are you to believe? I get it. However, the truth is nothing like what has been publicly spoken about by anyone.
I will say that anyone that saw me go through what I went through, then has chosen to stay in the synthetic nootropics side of the industry anyway, are complete fucking morons. You are under active federal investigation as we speak. They will fuck you. It might not be today. It might not be next week. However, they know who you are and what you are doing. I was under active federal investigation for 5 years prior to being raided. Anybody assuming they understand the details of our case, and think they know the law better than I did, is an idiot. Anyone assuming they understand the whys of what happened to me, and have a way around it happening to them, are just plain wrong. Also, I am the one in a million exception. Nobody else would have been able to survive what I went through without felony charges and having their company shut down. I hired the former director of the FDA office of criminal investigations as our corporate criminal defense attorney, and I hired the former US Attorney for the state of Arizona and the former US Attorney from the state of New Hampshire, as my personal criminal defense attorneys. I had a team of around 15 lawyers at one point. I spent $3.2M just in legal fees... and I only just barely got out relatively unscathed. Anyone still in that side of the industry that thinks they will be able to pull off what I pulled off is dumber than a box of rocks. They will learn at some point, and they are not going to like the end result. All I can say is: good luck!
So anyway, barring some more insane situation happening to derail us again, we are back on track to finally start publishing all this work we have been doing. I am not sure what could we worse than having the most powerful government in the history of human civilization trying to destroy your life, though. If I can survive that, and come out the other end stronger, then any other hurdles are going to be child's play. I will say that I am finally excited to get back to the productive side of my mission, rather than just trying to survive. We have some really cool shit in store. I am just being a bit more reserved about discussing details this time. However, we are much father ahead than we were four years ago, and you will start seeing the results of that soon.
Yeah, regarding the study, as far as standards go for placebo studies, this is quite poor. I personally see the study as more like a collection of case studies. While they dont necessarily prove anything, i do think it gives a strong indication that something is going on, for example, the last case, the girl went from having a PANSS score of 113 which went down to 49.
For sure. I don't doubt that something was happening with those subjects and the material they were given. However, without an actual verified standardization, how do you know you are getting the same lion's mane extract that person got in that study? That's why standardization to verified bioactives is so crucial. When you take our Erinamax, you know it is the exact same thing that was given to the subjects in the two double-blinded placebo-controlled studies. You know if you take a capsule of Erinamax in 2023, it's going to be the same if you take a capsule of it in 2025. You know exactly what the bioactive it is standardized to is, and you know how much there is every time. That's why standardization is key. I've made some one off batches of lion's mane that felt very cool. If I gave that batch to some subjects in the study, and called it Erinamax, I could show some really cool results. It wouldn't mean that you would get those same results by buying retail Erinamax, though.
