NMN formulation change

Has anyone else noticed a difference in efficacy between the old NMN tablets (sized like a small cylinder) versus the new one (sized like a small disc)?
I thought it was placebo at first, but with the old NMN, I noticed a profound increase in energy and well being. With the new NMN (disc shape), I notice nothing.
Thinking I may be tricking myself, I experimented on my wife. When I give her the old NMN, her energy noticeably improved. When I give her the new one, no difference.
I’m curious if anyone else has had this experience. I know /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb has mentioned the enteric coating on the new NMN is superior, but I can’t help but notice my consistent, personal experience.
UPDATE (Feb 2022)
They must have gone through several iterations, because the magic is back on my latest purchase. I’ve seen 3 different tablets — the cylinder (original), a larger flat circle with a powdery exterior, and the most recent, a smaller circle with a smoother exterior.
The only version that didn’t work for me was the one with the powdery exterior. The newest version works GREAT, perhaps even better than the original.

Hello. Could you comment on the difference between your enteric coated and liposomal nmn? I’m seeing the claim elsewhere that the latter is more bioavailable and have no idea which is right. Also what would you say is the dosage equivalence if enteric coated and straight powder? Thanks, really appreciate your attention in this thread.

None of the supposed liposomal products on the market are showing proper lab data proving they are even liposomes, much less are showing pharmacokinetic data to make those sorts of claims. We also reached out to the manufacturers people are using to supply these "liposomal" products, and we asked them in detail about their process. The whole thing seemed like a massive scam. The processes that we were told they were using do NOT create actual liposomes. They create mixtures of soy/sunflower lecithin without any controlled particle sizes or data showing the lipids are forming bilayers around the active ingredients. You might as well just take normal NMN with some soy/sunflower lecithin and call it a day. I think simply the bile salt release caused by the lecithin would increase bioavailability, which is what I think people are feeling from these untested "liposomal" products on the market. I spoke about how I think the whole thing is a scam recently.

We wanted to bring out our own liposomal products, but we put the pause on it all when we started digging into the scientific data. We even looked into the patents filed by these people manufacturing it, and red flags were everywhere! I challenge any competitor to show me the lab data proving their liposomal products are actually liposomes. If they can prove it to me using valid chemistry, I will eat my words. I just think the whole thing is a huge scam right now.
