They will be back up by the end of the week. It's been a hell of a time getting these back in stock. In case you are not aware, the company that used to do the enteric coatings for us went out of business because of COVID-19. No warning. They just were there one day and gone the next. So we had to scramble to figure out what we were doing for enteric coated stuff. We tried to move to enteric coated capsules, but we found in all our testing that's all a lie. Every single "enteric coated" capsule out there fails our Distek dissolution testing in simulated gastric environments. They all dissolve in 30min, which is NOT enteric. I wish I could say I was surprised, but nothing surprises me anymore. So then we had to find a new partner that could do enteric coatings on tablets. After a lot of searching we found one that said they could. They had been doing it for 30 years. Well we did a run with them and guess what happened? They also failed our dissolution testing! This is a company that has been "enteric coating" people's products for decades. It turns out their coating is also not performing up to the specs of enteric, and tons of products on the market they manufacture are on the shelf right now calling themselves enteric when they actually are not. Again, I wish I could say I was surprised. So then we had to work with them to get different coating materials in and update their process. After doing some test runs, we were able to get them to get it in spec. Then we went to order the coating materials in bulk to do a production run and guess what... BACKORDERED. There was a shortage on the raw materials used to make the coating materials, so it would take months go get enough to do a run. So then we had to go to a completely different company across the country that specialized in it AND had the coating in inventory. They did a test run and it passed our testing. However, then they got backed up with runs and have staffing shortages, so we had to wait for them to finish the run. We now finally have full production runs of both enteric coated gotu kola and NMN in, and are rushing them through production. We should have NMN back on the site later this week.

It would be a whole hell of a lot easier if we didn't do the crazy testing we do on everything. All the "enteric" or acid resistant capsules out there are bullshit. They all completely fail testing in simulated gastric environments. There is only one solution that performs as an actual enteric coating, and that's a complete separate coating process for tablets. It's just a pain in the ass to get to work. Luckily you know we will rather stay out of stock and lose business than to approve a product that doesn't meet specs.

Enteric NMN with OptiNAD?

Yes, many people do that. The enteric really makes a difference with NMN. In our OptiNAD+ we use acid resistant capsules, but they don't last nearly as long as our enteric tablets do in stomach acid. We are still trying

Replying to dirk23wright · Why would you want a powder when you sell an enteric coated pill already? Isn't the powder going to be less effective? Are the capsules enteric coated as well?

Yes, the powder will be less effective. However, some people have issues with the enteric coating, and others have too strong of effects and want to dose lower. We are giving people more choice. The enteric coated tablet

Why is NDs NMN dosage size only 125mg when typical dosage amount should be 8x that (according to DSs recommendation)?
