NMN formulation change

Has anyone else noticed a difference in efficacy between the old NMN tablets (sized like a small cylinder) versus the new one (sized like a small disc)?
I thought it was placebo at first, but with the old NMN, I noticed a profound increase in energy and well being. With the new NMN (disc shape), I notice nothing.
Thinking I may be tricking myself, I experimented on my wife. When I give her the old NMN, her energy noticeably improved. When I give her the new one, no difference.
I’m curious if anyone else has had this experience. I know /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb has mentioned the enteric coating on the new NMN is superior, but I can’t help but notice my consistent, personal experience.
UPDATE (Feb 2022)
They must have gone through several iterations, because the magic is back on my latest purchase. I’ve seen 3 different tablets — the cylinder (original), a larger flat circle with a powdery exterior, and the most recent, a smaller circle with a smoother exterior.
The only version that didn’t work for me was the one with the powdery exterior. The newest version works GREAT, perhaps even better than the original.

After you finish testing will we hear back with some kind of community post? I just got my second and third NMN bottles yesterday.

Testing is already done. New tablets performed flawlessly for our specs. They held up for 4 hours in simulated gastric juices with little degradation. This means they won't dissolve in the stomach. Then they dissolved in 2.5hr in simulated intestinal fluid. This means they will dissolve quickly once they reach the small intestine. The issue some people were having with the original formulation was that they were not dissolving quickly enough in the small intestine, so they passed through into stool undigested. This is not an issue with the new formulation. It literally worked perfectly for what we designed it to do.
Here is the simulated gastric fluid testing.
You can see our enteric coating is working exactly as it should. No breakdown of the tablet in acidic gastric fluids. This is how real enteric coatings should work. Then when put into neutral intestinal fluids, the tablets started to dissolve at the 2hr mark, and were completely dissolved at the 2.5hr mark. This is exactly what you want as well. The tablets stay stable in the acidic environment of the stomach, then dissolve quickly once in the neutral environment of the small intestine. So they are formulated exactly as we wanted.
Regarding the testing, I have been alternating between the old and new tablets personally the past few days. I can't really tell a difference. If anything, maybe the new tablets are working better. I will keep testing, and also have people on my team try them out as well. So far all the data shows these new tablets are even better than the original ones, though.
