Ashwagandha(KSM) and Libido Experience

Original post in this thread

I decided to add KSM to my daily stack to aid into getting more serious about my weight training routine. I thought everything was fine until I realized that I wasn't getting aroused with my gf, and when I did I couldn't really keep it up. This is the total opposite of me 4 days ago before I started.

I know that the science states the opposition where Ashwagandha tends to boost libido and Test but this is the only change to my stack.

In the future, I think KSM is more situational for a stressful time period like at work or a major life event, but on a daily basis, be sure to take note if you notice anything weird going on down there.

Not even - she takes 500 mg/day. It doesn't have any effect either way on her autoimmune disease (i.e. pain), but she says she has more energy and motivation. When asked what she's noticed she said : more energy and motivation. Digging further, I found out she's less anxious which might very well be why she has more energy, motivation and better mood. I guess her mood might be individually affected too, since lion's mane has been shown to help with anxiety and depression (at least in post-menopausal women). She's not there yet at 40. However, both red reishi and cordyceps caused her autoimmune disease to flare-up pretty significantly - incidentally, the worst between red reishi and cordyceps was the latter. The reishi absolutely made things worse for her, but only up to an extent. When she tried the cordyceps, it became very clear that it couldn't go on like that. The pain was so bad that she went back to square one where the pain was every bit as bad as before she was diagnosed. It took a week for the pain to markedly decrease to where it was very tolerable. But I think it was needed for her to give those mushrooms a try and she did.

I am not surprised that cordyceps made her immune system flair up the most. I too had some issues with that in the beginning. I had to lower my dose, then my body got used to it. Now I don't have those issues anymore. It being the more stimulating extract, with compounds similar to adenosine, it makes sense for why it can overstimulate some people's immune system. The reishi is less stimulating, but definitely can kick up immune responses in some people.

I am glad the lion's mane is working well for her! Did I speak to you about palmitoylethanolamide and her immune issues? I think we were PMing about it, but I might be confusing people.

Synapsa Is Amazing but those GI Issues...Advice?

Replying to coiniam · What's your current dosing/schedule look like? Can you give a brief synopsis of the effects of each mushroom? Thanks!

Right now I am cycling down to baseline, but my usual dosing is 1,000mg Lion's Mane, 500mg Cordyceps, and 1,000mg Reishi. The Lion's Mane seems to boost mood a bit acutely, and help memory over time. The Cordyceps gives

Lion's Mane has been a godsend

Replying to saladon · It's awesome to see how much you're invested in the future of mushrooms. Are there any that you're still personally taking?

I think we are going to be doing some very cool things with mushrooms! I still use most of the mushrooms, just not every day. Cordyceps is still my favorite, but white jelly is fantastic to cycle in for skin health. Obv

Yes, we will be releasing some more mushroom products down the line.
