Ashwagandha(KSM) and Libido Experience

Original post in this thread

I decided to add KSM to my daily stack to aid into getting more serious about my weight training routine. I thought everything was fine until I realized that I wasn't getting aroused with my gf, and when I did I couldn't really keep it up. This is the total opposite of me 4 days ago before I started.

I know that the science states the opposition where Ashwagandha tends to boost libido and Test but this is the only change to my stack.

In the future, I think KSM is more situational for a stressful time period like at work or a major life event, but on a daily basis, be sure to take note if you notice anything weird going on down there.

I strongly agree with everything you wrote above. Since it doesn't make much sense for the FDA to enforce such new regulations, I'm compelled to think it's mostly about profitability of the pharmaceutical industry - it has to be about money. I'm much too realistic and a cynic to believe it is all about protecting the public.

Everything is about money. Even when people think things are not about money, money comes into play in some way. It's just the way of things. I think the FDA's intentions are multi-fold. I think some of them actually think they are protecting people. Some of them have very different beliefs than you and I do, and do not think freedom and personal responsibility comes paramount to safety. They fundamentally disagree with the concepts of self-supplementation, and want to protect people from themselves. It's not that they are bad people, and some of their points may be valid in some cases. However, it's just a very different fundamental philosophy than many of us have here on /r/Nootropics. I vehemently disagree with that philosophy, and will fight it tooth and nail. However, I understand where some of them are coming from.

Then yes, there is a money/cronyism factor that has to be playing into a lot of it. Sometimes that involvement is not openly apparent, and is happening in the background without the conscious knowledge of people at the FDA. A lot of it is lobbying, I am sure. Lobbyists know how to play into people's biases, and push certain things without overtly paying people off. They are very good at it. I know a couple lobbyists. They can talk many people into changing little things, or adding things in here and there, and the people don't even realize they are being manipulated. They make people feel like those changes or additions were their own ideas, or make them seem to fit into larger goals that those people already had. So that's how you can have people who fundamentally think they are doing the right thing, but are still being manipulated by money in the background. It's a tale as old as time. It's just been tweaked and perfected over time. So while money is certainly playing a role in this, it's not as simple as many think. You can have people fully believing they are doing the right thing for the right reasons, while still having it be manipulated by money in the background.

KSM-66 and Sensoril Ashwagandha brands are extremely dishonest.

Replying to Megatron_McLargeHuge · NootropicsDepot sells both and supposedly has the most reliable lab testing of any consumer vendor. Have you looked at their versions?

We removed the withanolide claims years ago from those two products, because we found this out in our lab testing. Both Natreon and Ixoreal were not happy with us about it, but we called them out multiple times at Supply
