World's Largest Shark Slaughterhouse Uncovered in China
Replying to vishtratwork · Just pointing out the studies are using the process this particular brand uses. The gel caps have never been shown to have any benefit.
The process of adding vitamin E to stabilize it is good. However, the benefits of a gelcap don't need to be shown. The mechanism is obvious. Oxidation requires oxygen. If you seal the oil in an impermeable capsule, then there is less likelihood of that oxidation happening. It's t…

In an unusual move, U.S. ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy has expressed deep concern over the traditional dolphin hunt in western Japan, where local fisherman corral dolphins in a secluded bay before killing many for meat.

China is plundering the planet's seas -- and it's doing it 12.5 times more than it's telling anybody
Replying to downstar94 · I know Americans could, I am vegetarian myself. But a majority wouldn't, this is even seen by the arguments made by redditor's.
But US meat consumption has declined for 4 consecutive years. Between 2006 and 2010, there was a 6% drop. It was the largest drop since records began. This is in contrast to the world meat consumption going up. We are eating less meat. http://www.voanews.com/content/as_world_meat…

Why are you assuming that Americans wouldn't reduce their meat consumption? Myself and my girlfriend have. I rarely have red meat anymore. I mostly have plant based food, with some chicken and fish. I also have multiple friends that have done the same.

Egyptians Vote on Islamist-Backed Constitution - "At one point in our history, Cleopatra, a woman, ruled Egypt. Now you have a constitution that makes women not even 2nd-class but 3rd-class citizens. This constitution is tailored for one specific group (the Muslim Brotherhood). It's a shame."

Iran test-fires missiles, sinks target not far from US-led international fleet.
Replying to [deleted] · [deleted]
Ohh, sure it would be a risk. If Iran wanted to, they could retaliate against certain non-strategic bases in the region. However, my point was that if the US or Israel were going to strike, they would likely take out those offensive capabilities immediately to prevent that. I'm n…

In no way are they defenseless. If the US was going to strike Iran, they would definitely be the ones to initiate. Israel would be part of the secondary offensive, but not the primary. War with Iran would be a large scale offensive, and we would not want those in the Israeli mili…

You completely missed my point. The US navy is irrelevant. If the US was going to strike Iran, their navy would be well out of striking range of Iran's defenses. Then submarine launched ballistic missiles would hit strategic defense sites and radar positions. Followed by airstrik…

Physical dependence, no. However, the opioid system is much more likely to produce addiction than the GABA, NMDA, and acetylcholine systems that ethanol works on. It's not even really an argument, heroin is much more addictive than alcohol. For some people, they get a psychologic…

I've read some crazy stories on there in the past. Most do not come from traditional psychedelics that work on the serotonin system, but from deliriants and dissociatives like diphenhyrdamine, PCP, and dextromethorophan.

Ohh no, I didn't mean the process was weird. I meant the fact that people want non-alcoholic wine. Much of the subtlety of wine comes from the alcohol content. Without it, I would think the taste would not be as balanced. I am a beer guy myself, and brew my own as well. I never r…

Hmmm, upon further investigation I found they make traditional wine, then they use reverse osmosis to remove the alcohol. Weird!
