In an unusual move, U.S. ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy has expressed deep concern over the traditional dolphin hunt in western Japan, where local fisherman corral dolphins in a secluded bay before killing many for meat.

Dolphins can recognize themselves in mirrors, something very few animals are capable of doing. They also have unique noises they use as names when communicating with each other. Dogs aren't even close in terms of intelligence. Not that I am saying we should eat one and not the other, but they are definitely apples and oranges.
