I find its depictions are far more closely aligned with deliriants. Amusingly, diphenhydramine (benadryl) is a potent drug of that class but fully legal. Take a full box of benadryl and you will be fucked up. Not in a good way, either.
If it still sounds appealing, read some of these: http://www.erowid.org/experiences/subs/exp_Diphenhydramine_Bad_Trips.shtml
12 benadryls:
>I went to the drinking fountain, drank, and heard a growl from my left. There was a blue tabby cat, with distorted features and big fangs. It growled at me, and ran very fast and lept at me. I put up my arm, and it exploded in midair. The fragments turned into long, beaked flatworms, with beady red eyes. They huddled together, and screamed shrilly at me.

I've read some crazy stories on there in the past. Most do not come from traditional psychedelics that work on the serotonin system, but from deliriants and dissociatives like diphenhyrdamine, PCP, and dextromethorophan.
