you can't develop dependence to any substance doing it one time. thats propaganda. do peopel get addicted to Vicodin doing it once? HOw about morphine?
most people who have used heroin do it for quite awhile before developing a full on dependence.

Physical dependence, no. However, the opioid system is much more likely to produce addiction than the GABA, NMDA, and acetylcholine systems that ethanol works on. It's not even really an argument, heroin is much more addictive than alcohol. For some people, they get a psychological addiction after a single use.
