I live in an area where herb is VERY plentiful and a vast portion of the people between 16 and 25 smoke. I still run into people who prefer spice, because they say it's cheaper and stronger. The thing with spice is that you can make it many times stronger than even the best dispensary bud, and as far as production goes it costs pennies.

That's the key here, it's synthetic. It can be made extremely cheap, with easy to find precursors. However, marijuana can also be grown cheaply if it were legal to do so. It could be like home brewing is for me.
