I'm a 50 year old male, in decent shape, slightly elevated cholesterol but no other major health issues, rarely drink, no recreational drug use. I recently became interested in Nootropics to combat anxiety, stress, and fatigue. Being a Lawyer I need every edge I can get in the day to day. So I read the Nootropic Blogs, watched dozens of videos and read hundreds of pages on this Reddit Feed. Having done the research I started taking the following (all of which I bought at Nootropics Depot). My first week I started taking Lion's Mane then introduced each Noot 1 by 1 every couple of days, then finally taking the following Stack over 3 weeks:
Lions Mane 500 mg - 1x/dayCDP Citicholine 250 mg - 1x/dayL-Theanine 200mg - 1x/dayRhodolea Rosea 500mg - 1x/dayOxiracetam 750mg - 1x/dayNoopept 10mg (caused brain fog after 3 days / discontinued)Fish Oil (daily)L-Tyrosine 500mg (caused brain fog after 2 days / discontinued)
At around the 3 week mark, I developed pain and burning on my lower right side/flank which radiated into my back, and my belly and side became swollen. Found myself urinating every hour. Went to my Doc right away. He did blood work which showed increase liver enzymes. He the…

Probably a rare reaction, these compounds aren't studied to the level that they should and just because a specific strain of rats didn't get any toxicity up to 5g/kg doesn't mean it's 100% safe for all humans. Definitely possible nootropics depot could have a contamination of something or some type of harmful bacteria grew in it as well. Even pharmaceuticals, which have much much stricter standards than the supplement industry occasionally have contaminations.

Guys, this is a brand new 17 day old account with zero history and zero evidence making big claims. He's a lawyer, but he has not sent us a demand letter for this supposed liver damage from our products? Does that make any sense? Does 3 weeks of innocuous supplements causing liver damage make any sense to anyone? Why has OP not responded to anyone's questions about drinking or any other details? What about acetaminophen or other NSAID use with the alcohol? Why has OP not stated what his liver values actually were, or if he had blood testing done before taking the supplements? Why is his only history making this massive claim about our products in this sub and another obscure subreddit?
Our products are not contaminated. Period. We test for microbial growth in every batch of raw material that comes into our facility. We even did microbial testing on finished lots of products. Out of over 1,000 samples we never had a failure. Not one. The same goes for heavy metals and residual solvents. We even spent a year developing our own residual solvent methods, with pharma-level validations; because the guy we hired to do it came from a pharma company. We even just got ISO 17025:2017 certified. We are the only nootropics company in the world with an ISO certified analytical lab. Product quality and testing standards are the only reason I started this company. We are holding things to such a higher standard, it's insane. This is not some fly-by-night operation out of a house. We have a world class facility with some of the best people in the world running things. Nothing you buy from us will ever be contaminated. I've spent millions of dollars building a facility and team to ensure that.
