Noopept: Distinct difference in taste between Ceretropic and Powder City.

I have noopept from both Ceretropic (W0713) and Powder City (150219), both purchased this spring. The Powder City version is more granular and metallic, like tianeptine, while the Ceretropic version is fluffy and has a kind of alkaline, detergent-like note, but still bitter.
Is this normal? Has anyone else tried both and can compare the effects/taste? I'm wondering if I'm getting different chemicals here.

I've only gotten noopept from Ceretropic.
I've gotten Phenibut from Ceretropic and Powdercity, though. Powdercity's stuff was very powdery and lighter by volume; Ceretropic's was more like iodized salt. They both tasted the same, but even though I've only tried Ceretropic's once, I got significantly less of an effect from 1.3g than I do from Powdercity's product. I'll have to try PC's again in a month and see if I'm just getting a permanent tolerance to the stuff, or something. It's disappointing, though; when I liked Powdercity's stuff I went ahead and bought a lot more from Ceretropic, since I assumed that would be the best quality. Here's hoping it was a biochemical fluke.

Phenibut HCL is supposed to be granular. Phenibut free amino acid, like NewMind sells, is light and fluffy. As far as I know, Powder City does not sell the FAA. However, perhaps there was a mixup. You can definitely feel differences in effects between the HCL salt and FAA versions. Did you notice a flavor difference? The Phenibut HCL will taste waaaay worse than the FAA.
