Noopept: Distinct difference in taste between Ceretropic and Powder City.

I have noopept from both Ceretropic (W0713) and Powder City (150219), both purchased this spring. The Powder City version is more granular and metallic, like tianeptine, while the Ceretropic version is fluffy and has a kind of alkaline, detergent-like note, but still bitter.
Is this normal? Has anyone else tried both and can compare the effects/taste? I'm wondering if I'm getting different chemicals here.

The price of Noopept has dropped substantially in the past couple of years. The granular appearance may just be the result of the latest cost-saving modification to the synthesis process. Would be worth checking out some Chinese academic journals to see if someone has published a new synthesis route.

Yeah, that is what I am leaning toward too.
