is a tetrapeptide that corresponds to amino acid residues 147-150 of the polypeptide hormone ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF). CNTF is neuroprotective and promotes neurogenesis in the hippocampus, but clinical use revealed unpleasant side-effects like substantial weight and muscle loss. The CNTF fragment 147-150 (DGGL) enhances hippocampal neurogenesis and neuronal plasticity, and improves cognition in mice, without the weight loss seen with CNTF administration.

Could you test THT's GTS21 for purity as well? It seems like that would be very important to the community.
GTS21 is synthesized with anabaseine as a reagent so it seems to me like an impure substance could be fairly dangerous in this case. It could also result in unfairly negative anecdotes related to GTS21 causing a decreased interest for other vendors to stock it even though the pure substance would be great.

I am testing a lot of things in the background. We might be able to test GTS-21. We also have to take into account that a lot of these new substances have no reference samples. So purity testing methods have to be come up with on the fly. Things with reference samples can just be run through HPLC, and given a % purity number. Ones without are much harder.
