US FDA to Looking into Potentially Regulating Caffeine?
What they were answering

Acid has a comparable if not lower safety profile and is not allowed for children. I think leaving caffeine unregulated is incredibly hypocritical considering the aggressive campaign against many psychedlic substances that have proven and safe pharmacological mechanisms.

You're comparing LSD use in children to caffeine? Just because they are more physically safe does not mean they are psychologically appropriate.
Although I do agree we need to legalize many substances that are currently illegal, including LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, DMT, MDMA, marijuana, etc.
