Phoenix, and a surgeon that works on heads probably gets a paid a quite a bit more than a hand surgeon. Once again, a huge problem with healthcare.

Crazy! I am in Phoenix too. My family lives in Denver. I crashed my ATV last year and my 6 hour stay in the Yuma hospital cost about $20K with ambulance. They did 2 contrast CT scans that were not needed though, as well as pumped me full of morphine when I told them I was not in pain. They said, "That's just what we do here" and injected it before I could tell them no. I contested the charges, but the hospital found them reasonable. Short of costly legal means, I was out of luck. This system needs an overhaul!
