It does seem high, but honestly I wouldnt doubt it. They'le overcharge for anything. If it actually was 17 million then he probably could of gotten it lowered by a good amount by just calling up and bitching them out.

Yes, I'm from the US. I know it's crazy high, but $17 million seems out of this world. I have never heard even close to that number, and my little sister was in and out of the hospital for over a year with a brain tumor and bacterial meningitis. Her will was a little over $750,000.

While I agree, the poverty line here in the US is slightly higher than many countries. I've seen things in Egypt, Mexico, India, Africa etc. that are on a whole other scale.
