u/MisterYouAreSoDumb correct me if I am wrong, but the first study you mentioned used an ethanol extract of Hericium Erinaceus, standardized to 5mg/g of Erinacene-A. The participants in the study consumed three capsules of 350mg per capsule each day. Assuming they properly tested for Erinacene-A (which i vaguely remember reading in one of your comments months or years ago that nobody actually was properly testing for Erinacene-A due to lack of standard) then participants were consuming just over 5mg of Erinacene-A per day in a product where the Erinacene-A had been alcohol extracted.
The second study you mentioned was not extracted. However, participants consumed 2000mg per day, so nearly double the mass of the Alcohol extracted product.

Negative. Both studies are non-extracted lion's mane mycelium. They extracted with methanol to test for the content of erinacine-A. However, the participants consumed capsules of dried whole mycelium powder. We had conference calls with the authors from those studies, and we discussed analytical testing methods and shared data with each other. Both studies are pure mycelium powder.
Following mass production, the mycelia were lyophilized, extracted with methanol, and analyzed by HPLC to quantify 5 mg/g erinacine A in EAHE mycelia. For study’s intervention, 350 mg EAHE mycelia were encapsulated in each gelatin capsule and used as treatments.
The methanol extraction is for the sample prep of the analytical method, not for the product consumed by the study participants. You are correct in the dosing, though. The first study used a gram per day, which is two tablets of our Erinamax. That's the reason we went with 500mg tablets, to give people the ability to take a gram easily if they wanted, or go down if they want to break them in half. We were originally going to go with 250mg doses, to make the product cheaper for people. However, we decided to just follow the research and go higher, which is why it is more expensive.
