Does chamomile tea work better than melatonin for anyone else?

I drank a cup of chamomile tea last night and it knocked me out and I didn’t have the awful effects of melatonin like next day grogginess (I get this even when I split my 1 mg pill in thirds). It’s weird because I’d never think an herbal tea would be more effective than a well known sleep aid

Major bummer after doing a bit more research. Looks like Epicatechin actually drastically reduces BP which is a huge no-no for me as I already stuggle with symptoms and low BP issues. Shame, I really wanted to try that out! So many herbs and supp's these days lower BP its hard to find something that I tolerate.

It drastically reduces blood pressure in hypertensive and pre-hypertensive subjects. This means that it lowers blood pressure if it is already too high. It does not have that effect on normal people.
