Does chamomile tea work better than melatonin for anyone else?

Original post in this thread

I drank a cup of chamomile tea last night and it knocked me out and I didn’t have the awful effects of melatonin like next day grogginess (I get this even when I split my 1 mg pill in thirds). It’s weird because I’d never think an herbal tea would be more effective than a well known sleep aid

Thanks a ton for sharing your knowledge my man.

Is there a reason that EGCG is the only epigallocatechin marketed? I seem to get the polar opposite response from EGCG extracts than what I get from matcha so I assume epigallocatechin's might be the wrong path.

I have taken l-theaine and quercetin by themselves, not even close either.

Maybe I'll try out just same plain old chlorophyll , seems redily avaialble and not too expensive. I'll give rutin a shot as well.

The effects I get from matcha are quite similar to the effects I've gotten from low dose kava / kratom before; dopaminergic with better social functioning and relaxation. You would think that theanine/suntheanine would be the culprit but ufortunatly not, don't get those effects at all from theanine. Idealy, I would just continue to drink Matcha by itself but I find that the vasovagul effects make me uncomfortable.

My pleasure!

It's the most common, but not the only. We sell epicatechin as well. The other two are just versions of the same thing, just with/without the gallic acid attached to the molecule.

I know what you are talking about. A few cups of good matcha really positively affect me as well.

No worries. I would just preface that when you make posts about it. Otherwise people start to read all these posts thinking that the average person feels nothing. Trying to get off all those things is a tough one. You

Replying to Guthix47 · You sure? I mean there's kava bars and shit but kanna seems pretty unheard of. Where does it rank health wise between things like kava, kratom, and cannabis?

Kava has hepatotoxic compounds in its leaves. So poorly made extracts can cause liver damage. That's probably what you read. Kava root itself is pretty safe. Just don't get the leaves mix in the extract. There are no kn

You have it backwards. White tea has the least amount of caffeine and the highest polyphenols and catechins, like EGCG. Black tea has the highest caffeine content and L-theanine due to the oxidation process. White and gr
