Does chamomile tea work better than melatonin for anyone else?

I drank a cup of chamomile tea last night and it knocked me out and I didn’t have the awful effects of melatonin like next day grogginess (I get this even when I split my 1 mg pill in thirds). It’s weird because I’d never think an herbal tea would be more effective than a well known sleep aid

I think it's due to lack of sunshine. I wanted to leave the UK during winter and was thinking of moving around Europe but then covid happened and now I can't even go to restaurants let alone enter different countries. It is what it is... I might try one of those IR lights but I'm a bit worried about quality spec on them and getting too much of the wrong frequency of light.

I hadn't even thought about that, but I guess QC issues are a thing in other industries, too. Are there any companies out there doing lab testing on their IR lights to prove to people that the correct frequencies are coming out? Maybe a community of people testing the available lights and posting the data?
