Immune Defense & positive blood test results

Original post in this thread

Hi ND team and u/misteryouaresodumb, a few months ago I started taking ND's Immune Defense. I also took two blood tests near the start and end of the bottle.

Interestingly, the scores on my WBC differential count improved quite significantly, especially with respect to lymphocytes (went from 2.5x10\^9 to 3.6x10\^9 per liter). I understand these include the NK cells, T cells and B cells.

This seems positive but can immunity be actually quantified by these numbers on a blood test? In any case, you guys are doing amazing work. Thank you for all that you do.

I've had the same experience healing injuries with BPC-157. Amazing recovery, BUT there's always some lingering trace of dysfunction. Almost as if it restores things back to 90-95% but not beyond.

Might I ask sir, in your wealth of knowledge and experience, how crucial is it to use the Arg BPC-157 version (aka Bepecin by Diagen) instead of BPC acetate in terms of recovery?

My gut feel is that "Stable BPC" seems to be a marketing tactic by the patent holders, though I can't be 100% sure.

It's just a salt of BPC-157 and arginine. In a liquid/solid phase peptide synthesis, you are most commonly left with a TFA salt, as trifluoroacetic acid is the most commonly used acid in the cleavage and purification steps of peptide synthesis. Sometimes peptide labs modify that to be an HCL salt to remove the TFA, but that is not common. This "stabilized" version just uses L-arginine instead to create a different salt. The reason TFA is used is more a practicality, as you need to cleave the peptide from the solid resin holding the C-terminus, and TFA is a strong acid. Leaving it in the acetate salt is fine if you are injecting it, which is how most people use BPC-157. The arginine salt does appear to be better for oral use, though. That's where that salt has the advantage. So if you want to use BPC-157 orally, the arginine salt would be preferable. That's where the research was focused.
