Bro, I've been thinking about what you said about the rice flour, and remembered I had a bag of unused reishi powder from the brand Om sitting in the closet.
Decided to look at the ingredients... and sure enough:
Organic Rieshi (Ganoderma lucidum) mycelial biomass, spores and fruit body powder cultured on organic whole oats (Avena sativa)
This is infuriating... basically just a bunch of oat powder and tiny bit of reishi...

Yep! Now go get some iodine and put the Om stuff in a water solution, then drip a few drops of iodine in the solution. It will turn bright purple showing you it is mostly starch/sugars. I've done this with many brands over the years. You can do this with other stuff, too. I tried it with some "panax ginseng" that was a top seller on Amazon, and it was just a small amount of cheaper American ginseng mixed with maltodextrin to dilute it. It was mostly maltodextrin by mass. Funny thing was that was the number one value rated Panax ginseng on LabDoor for years, even though I told them it was fake. 9/10 brands out there are selling untested garbage. It's the rule, not the exception.
