Wait what? I drank Fleishmanns for years when I was younger. I googled it and didn’t find any scandals. Can you fill me in on what’s wrong with Fleischmanns, outside of being cheap grain vodka?

LOL, Fleishmann's is just shitty bottom shelf vodka. My uncle would have died no matter who made the alcohol he consumed. He was an alcoholic. The impurities in Fleishmann's I am sure didn't help, but it was the ethanol itself that killed him.

That being said, you should look into badly distilled bottom shelf spirits and the congeners that are left in them. This is why hangovers from shitty vodka are worse than those from top shelf properly-distilled vodka. You have other alcohols like methanol and isobutylene alcohol that get left in there. You have aldehydes, esters, and ketones that are damaging. You have acids from the fermentation that can be left. This is why shitty spirits can be worse for you than higher quality ones.
