Why is EVERY lions mane brand Chinese

What they were answering

Have you tested, or know if another third party tested anything from Swanson and found it to be dangerous?

There are quite a few products that I use from Swanson, from ajipure amino acids, to Albion minerals and various branded extracts, such as Deltagold, Neurofactor, indena phytosomes etc. that are difficult or prohibitively expensive to find elsewhere. I really, really like their Activated B Complex, for example. I'd be sad to give up on them completely :(

I hate how sheisty the supplement industry is, and how it seems that it's the people like you who do things the right way that get the lawsuits and scrutiny, while the fly-by-nights get a pass.

Yes, we did years ago and found they did not meet label claims for active ingredients and had high heavy metals. I would never personally consume anything made by Swanson. The issue with places that don't properly test and have poor QC standards is that the quality will range batch-to-batch. Some batches might be fine. Others may not. The patented stuff from places like Indena SHOULD be less likely to have issues, but it is not a guarantee. This is why I set out to change things. What upsets me so much is that I have been trying for almost a decade to get people to listen to me and care about this stuff. Nothing will ever change unless we start holding these companies accountable! I've tested stuff from pretty much everyone out there that has failed. This includes seemingly good places like Jarrow, Life Extension, and NOW Foods, to shitty places like Swanson, Puritan's Pride, Bulk Supplements, Spring Valley, etc. The results from the places I considered good, like NOW, LEF, and Jarrow were the most upsetting to me. However, I have just come to expect it now. Everyone is cutting corners. Nobody is taking quality control and analytical testing as seriously as I think they should be. The deeper I dig, the more shit I find. It's why I am so frustrated! We spend so much time, effort, and money to make sure things are right BEFORE customers consume them. However, we lose out to places cutting corners and putting customers at risk. How can my stance be the exception the rule?!? How can companies sell untested products to customers, then get away with it for years without being held accountable? I could have been selling untested lion's mane mycelium for years now. I could have likely made millions of dollars just off that product alone. Yet here we are years later, and I am still making sure we perfect it first. I want people to always know that if I put my name behind something, I fully believe it in. More so than that, I want them to know that if it is up on our site it's been put through the most rigorous analytical processes available to ensure things are 100% as they should be. My word means something to me. My reputation means something to me. People's trust and safety mean everything to me. I just want consumers to feel the same way I do. I want companies that cut corners and lie to people to be held accountable by the customers in this industry. It's everyone's health on the line. It's the responsibility of the brands out there to make sure things are being done properly BEFORE customers ingest things. I just want those that don't to have their feet held to the fire till they start being forced to care as much as I think they should.

Is ND done launching new products?

We are absolutely NOT done with new products. We are in the thick of development for a bunch of them. Some of them are just taking longer than expected to get perfect, so we have had a lull in releases. That's just becau

Sigma - New supplement containing Tongkat Ali made in collaboration with A.Huberman.

There are so many bullshit tongkats on the market now, especially after Huberman went on Rogan. I am just going to be very direct here, as I no longer have the time nor the energy for bullshit. Anyone selling a 200:1 ton

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb asked me to post the Lab Testing COAs I received from Bulk Supplements (Below)

That's about what I expected. These are just internal COAs. To start, analyzing nitrogen content is not an appropriate methodology for amino acid assay. This is the same shit China got away with on infant formula and spi

I have already reached out to our lawyers on this. I am sick of Consumer Lab ranking products using shoddy chemistry! Consumer Lab is using methods to quantify withanolides that only look at a small portion of them in th
