Nootropics Depot not posting negative review

Original post in this thread

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know I left a negative review on a product on Nootropics Depot 1-2 months ago now and it hasn't been published. There have been reviews published since then as well. Just want to put this out there for anyone looking at products off the site because they all usually have 5 star ratings.

Also, this was not just a negative review because it didn't work for me but because the product became completely unusable in my 'climate' and there was no warning on the website or on the packaging.

Edit: I have answered most questions in the comments so make sure to read them for more information.

Include a gram or 500mg scoop in phenibut powder dude!

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb · Natrium Health & Nootropics Depot

Scoops are not accurate forms of measurement, and we feel including them is irresponsible. Scoops measure volume, not mass. Dosing is always done by mass. Volume of a powder varies a lot batch to batch. Moreover, volume can vary within the batch itself. The top of a drum might have larger particle sizes than the bottom of the drum. Also, scoop to scoop can vary a lot. Is the scoop level or heaping? How heaping is it, and how did you measure that? Are there any air pockets in the scoop? These are all variables that affect how much you are getting for a dose. Dosing consistency is a big deal to us. If you want 500mg, but you are getting 600mg some times and 400mg others, how can you assess how you are reacting to things? A milligram scale is needed to ensure you are getting the same dose each time. I have taken a hard line approach to not offering scoops since I started the company in 2013. Dosing accuracy and consistency is something I think we should value very much, and you just can't get that with scoops. The only exception I would make would be for things that are dosed in large amounts without much issue if you take too much, like protein powder. Then I think scoops are acceptable. However, not really for the things we sell. Maybe the creatine, but that's about all I would say I would be okay with.

Why not include a scoop inside powder supplements?

Scoops are not accurate forms of measurement, and we feel including them promotes the idea that you don't need a scale. That cannot be further from the truth. Accuracy matters. Safety matters. A two cent plastic scoop fr
