u/MisterYouAreSoDumb Thanks a ton friend, thanks a ton.
this is what I tried, just in case, so that you can help others, if they are looking for info (god forbid no kid should face this situation)
1. When in coma, lots of prayers...24x7 types...something about prayers.
2. In the initial days (30 days after coma ) --> I used Ashwagandhadhi tails (Ashwagandha infused sesame oil) for arms and legs, and body, so that motor functions get back to normal (when coma, it seems body absorbs neural pathways that carry electrical signals from brain...no wires, no electricity == cannot move that limb)
3. Fed 10K+ calories per day of Fish (salmon) + meat and beef, including 4 to 5 eggs per day --> this lasted for 2 months...after 2 months, back to regular vegetarian diet
4. No milk, but Curd and Ghee made from fermented Curd.
5. Bacoppa + Saraswatharistam (Ayurvedic formulation) + Vit D (2000) + B12 + Fish oil ( 10ml per day) + lots of play-time (outdoor)
6. Meditation + breathing exercises
7. Acupuncture - once a week
8. Sesame oil massages - head and body

My younger sister had bacterial meningitis around 10 years ago. Hers actually started because of a tumor that ate away her skull in between her sinus and the brain, which allowed bacteria to get into her spinal cord. It was bad, and she had a 15 hour surgery to remove the tumor and create a titanium mesh to rebuild her skull in that area. She lost all the nerves responsible for smell, though. So now she can't smell. However, she is studying to be a vet, and she doesn't get grossed out by the smells now. At least that is an unintended plus side! It was a very harrowing experience, though. There was a period there where she didn't look like she was going to make it, so I know exactly how you feel. I saw just how tough it was on my parents, and it wasn't easy on me, either. It's something I hope no parent has to experience.
