Nootropics Depot not posting negative review

Original post in this thread

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know I left a negative review on a product on Nootropics Depot 1-2 months ago now and it hasn't been published. There have been reviews published since then as well. Just want to put this out there for anyone looking at products off the site because they all usually have 5 star ratings.

Also, this was not just a negative review because it didn't work for me but because the product became completely unusable in my 'climate' and there was no warning on the website or on the packaging.

Edit: I have answered most questions in the comments so make sure to read them for more information.

I'll definitely replace the powder for you.

OP was told nothing could be done by customer service.

Why didn't they offer him a replacement before his Reddit post? Here look:

Again, I will have to go through the support logs and see who handled it. I am not saying our support is perfect. No company's support is perfect. Even if I found a way to clone myself and have hundreds of me running everything, it still wouldn't be perfect. When there are humans behind something, there is always going to be a level of imperfection in a system. However, my support team does a very good job with the situation they are put in. They have to deal with absolute batshit crazy people every day of the week. I wish I could show people some of the shit they have to deal with. If it didn't violate privacy laws, I would create a subreddit called /r/TalesFromNDSupport to show everyone. They have to come in every single day and handle everything from simple questions to walls of text from insane people. Right now everyone is yelling at them because the snowstorms closed down the airport shipping hub at Memphis, which is the main hub for FedEx. This is a common thing that happens when there are storms like this. Customers literally scream at them and demand that they fix the weather and nationwide supply chain issues. They have to try and navigate irrational customers their whole day. Those are just the rude ones. Then you have the nutbags. We had one guy that would write our support team with 4-6 paragraph emails of rambling nonsense. He would ask to be assigned to a specific woman on my team each time. After a while he started professing his love for her, and was trying to find her address so the could meet in real life; much to the dismay and fear by my employee. We have people scream at us saying we are poisoning them with strychnine, and that they are sure of it because the product tastes exactly like it... meaning I guess they taste strychnine regularly enough to recognize the taste. We have people trying to scam us with stolen credit cards. We had one guy using a bunch of stolen credit cards to buy nootropic powders, and then use them to formulate his own products that he was selling. We had one guy say we were to blame for his dog dying, because it got sick and he had already used the money to buy nootropics the month before, and didn't have enough for the vet. He was telling my support team that they were responsible for his dog's death. We have people all the time trying to phish us for information they can use to hack us, or breach our systems. This means my support team has to be on their toes every second to make sure they are vigilant. A few years back someone was able to hack into the account of one of my support people through an exploit in in their email, use that access to get into our intermediate cryptocurrency wallets, and steal tons of coins from us. It was over $150,000 they stole, which would be worth $1.5 million at prices today. So they are under a lot of pressure to make sure something like that never happens again. They have to navigate these things while also answering the hundreds/thousands of normal customers every day. It's a very stressful job.

So is my customer support team perfect? No, absolutely not. However, they have a tough job to do every day, and they strike a pretty good balance between all the directions they are pulled in. If there is a strange issue or irate customers, they sometimes have to pull me in. However, they know I am insanely busy and get stressed when I have to get involved in the nutbag cases... and yes, sometimes they just want to get through their day and might dismiss someone that should have been handled differently. It's something I am constantly working with them on. Getting everyone on my support team to read every word someone is saying, and fully understand their position before responding, can be a challenge. When you have crazy people peppered in the mix, it can get frustrating and force them into a more robotic procedural flow. It's something we are always working on trying to improve, though.
