Can Berberine Cause Hypoglycemia?
Original post in this thread

I usually only take berberine before a carb-containing meal, however, today I took some upon waking and then ate a steak.
The whole morning I felt like I could fall asleep at any second. Brain fog. Weak muscles. Absolutely CRAVING food and sugar. Seemed like hypoglycemia.
Can this happen to someone like me who is NOT diabetic, in shape, eats clean, sleeps well?

I've been meaning to ask, I have NA-R-ALA sitting here, but I'm afraid that it would reduce my muscle growth. What's your opinion on that? If I lift weights every other day, my body is repairing muscles like all the time. So I'm thinking that even on the off-days ALA might still hurt the muscle growth?

No, ALA actually helps with muscle growth and insulin response in skeletal muscle.

ALA also increase glucose uptake into cells, which can help if you take before a workout. It is not going to adversely affect your muscle gains. If anything, it will help!
