Can Berberine Cause Hypoglycemia?
Original post in this thread

I usually only take berberine before a carb-containing meal, however, today I took some upon waking and then ate a steak.
The whole morning I felt like I could fall asleep at any second. Brain fog. Weak muscles. Absolutely CRAVING food and sugar. Seemed like hypoglycemia.
Can this happen to someone like me who is NOT diabetic, in shape, eats clean, sleeps well?

The only things I'd taken so far were ND's NMN, Cordyceps, and CoQSOL-CF.
I am always hungry lately though. I'm probably at 8,9% body fat. Workout 6 days a week for an hour plus. Usually eat around 2500 calories at a maintenance level so I could be just under eating?
I don't know man, anything with sweetness just makes me want to EAT the house away. Like a couple squares of dark chocolate and all I want to do is eat and can't stop/
I have a horrible dependence on "healthy" low calorie protein bars with artificial sweeteners, that allows me to kind of binge on sweet foods while keeping my calories in check. I've cut out dairy but I used to have to eat two quest bars a day to get my fix. Now I eat alot of NO COW bars. Or drink artifically sweetened energy drinks like monster BANG.

Is 8.9% your maintenance level? That's a pretty damn good level to be at. I would not be able to say whether or not you are under eating without knowing your height and weight. 2,500 calories could be overeating for a 140lb 5.5ft guy. It could be under eating for a 250lb 6.5ft guy.
The fact that you are always hungry leads me to believe you are likely missing some nutrients, and your body is signaling for you to eat to try and get them. What does your diet look like? Are you monitoring nutrient levels in your meals, or just eating whatever you feel like?
