Can Berberine Cause Hypoglycemia?
Original post in this thread

I usually only take berberine before a carb-containing meal, however, today I took some upon waking and then ate a steak.
The whole morning I felt like I could fall asleep at any second. Brain fog. Weak muscles. Absolutely CRAVING food and sugar. Seemed like hypoglycemia.
Can this happen to someone like me who is NOT diabetic, in shape, eats clean, sleeps well?

I think NMN may play a role in this, if you still taking it. I'm hungry all the time since I started it. Got dizzy in the first two doses because I got really hungry really fast.
For reference, my maintenance is around 1900 (1.8m / 70kg / 8\~9% bodyfat). However, if I start to be more physically active, this value goes to 2800. What seems to have happened is that my NMN intake is causing my body to enter this "second mode". This could be happening with you, somehow, in some degree.
I'm feeling less of this effect now - I'm able to back to fasting after seven days. Taking with berberine didn't worsen this effect, by the way.

I have not noticed that effect from NMN, actually. I suppose I have been more hungry during mid day than usual, but that subsides. I definitely don't get hungry right after taking NMN. How long did it take for your to level out from that effect?
