Can Berberine Cause Hypoglycemia?
Original post in this thread

I usually only take berberine before a carb-containing meal, however, today I took some upon waking and then ate a steak.
The whole morning I felt like I could fall asleep at any second. Brain fog. Weak muscles. Absolutely CRAVING food and sugar. Seemed like hypoglycemia.
Can this happen to someone like me who is NOT diabetic, in shape, eats clean, sleeps well?

Again, I really appreciate your reponse as I'd guess this is the last way you'd want to be spending your time haha.
I'm 6 foot 170. Probably am exercising all all 8-10 hours. Very active.
I eat the same things most days. A lot of chicken. Fruit. Some veggies like peppers and asparagus. My go to meal is chicken, red peppers, and white rice. Red meat a couple times a week. Probably between 150g - 200g of carbs.
I don't monitor my specific nutrients, just assumed I was getting enough.

For your height and weight, and as much as you are working out, 2,500 calories is probably good. Has your weight been steady? Maybe you are not absorbing some nutrients. So even though you have it in your diet, it might not be getting into your system. Do you get hungry all the time without any of the supplements, or is it only after taking the combo you are on?
