Can Berberine Cause Hypoglycemia?
Original post in this thread

I usually only take berberine before a carb-containing meal, however, today I took some upon waking and then ate a steak.
The whole morning I felt like I could fall asleep at any second. Brain fog. Weak muscles. Absolutely CRAVING food and sugar. Seemed like hypoglycemia.
Can this happen to someone like me who is NOT diabetic, in shape, eats clean, sleeps well?

No my weights been pretty steady. This has been happening for a long time. Much longer than these current supplements. The other day was SO extreme though I thought it might be the berberibe. Honestly, it could all just be stress related as well ha

Ahh, if it has been happening for a long time without any supplement, I bet it is either hormone related or a nutrient absorption issue. Probably not a macronutrient, as your weight is steady. However, it could be a micronutrient. If you are missing some nutrients, sometimes your body releases more ghrelin to get you to eat more, in an attempt to get more of whatever nutrients you are missing. This is kind of how cravings work. They are not random. Your body does send out signals when you are low on things.
