Epicor or Immune Defence?

Anyone tried either or both?
ID seems very comprehensive but does cost double Epicor.
I do not get sick often (once a year until recently) but I'm finding I can less afford to get sick, people around me get sick a lot which has been getting me sick lately and maybe I am getting hit harder as I get older.

Have you looked into Dr. Zach Bush? He seems to think that probiotics are bunk. All of em. He is a triple board certified MD, seems to know a shit ton on the microbiome, and no longer prescribes probiotics in his practice. The problem he sees is that probiotics produce a monoculture no matter how many strains/species you cram into a pill. When there are supposed to be 40,000 different types of bacteria, fungi, in the gut.
If you're interested in hearing his take on probiotics, this is probably the best interview he's done - https://youtu.be/jWgnkgYtqnw

I somewhat agree with him in theory. Most probiotics are junk, and you are never going to be able to get the biodiversity you need into a pill. That's why fecal transplants are a thing. However, if you completely destroy your microbiome with strong antibiotics, and you don't have an appendix like me, it is exceedingly hard to get things back in balance. A strong probiotic like Visbiome can help. This is especially true if you are going through a round of probiotics. If you don't believe me, take a 10 day course of Augmentin without any probiotics and see how you feel. Then next time it happens take Visbiome 3X per day during your antibiotic course. The end result will be very apparent. If you have an appendix, your body should be able to reintroduce things into your GI tract and get things back in balance. I don't, though. So my body has no way to get my microbiome back in balance if I destroy it with antibiotics. That's what happened to me in India. My heart almost stopped, and I woke up in an Indian hospital with tons of IV antibiotics being pumped into me. That destroyed my microbiome, and without an appendix I was not able to get it back in balance. It took years of prebiotics, probiotics, and diet changes to get things to a better level.
