I know many people that were put on amphetamine by their doctor as children, to treat ADHD, who have had long-lasting negative side effects. They never abused it, and always used the proper therapeutic dosages. However, they now have problems with their reward system, and latent memory issues. Again, that is not everyone. However, there are plenty of risks to even therapeutic dosages. Ignoring that is not doing anyone any good.
