The story behind the FDA raid of Nootropics Depot
Replying to RarageInTheGarage · A lot of other tricyclic antidepressants also have opioid affinity, as it turns out. Some friends of mine with neuropathic pain were prescribed certain TCA's for just that reason.
Well the opioid affinities for some of the TCAs are delta and kappa opioid receptors, not mu opioid. Even then, they are low affinities. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19828880/ >At the cloned mu-opioid receptor, TCAs showed low affinity and no significant agonist activity. Thes…
The story behind the FDA raid of Nootropics Depot
Replying to DoctorBoneMarrow · Can you share why you think tianeptine is such a good antidepressant (mechanistically speaking) when used correctly? Do you think it might have an interesting synergy with Cognan…
When we first brought it out, the SSRE effects were interesting, as no other antidepressants had that effect. When we learned it had opioid affinities, that wasn't a bad thing at first. Your body has endogenous compounds that bind to the opioid receptors called endorphins, enkeph…
The story behind the FDA raid of Nootropics Depot
Replying to CrystalSplice · You never should have sold it in the first place.
It's easy to say that in retrospect, but nobody knew tianeptine could be abused when we brought it out. We sold tianeptine sodium for less than 3 years. When it was clear what it had become, we stopped selling it. Other vendors sold it much much longer than we did. Nootropic Sour…
The story behind the FDA raid of Nootropics Depot
Replying to RainyVibez · > I realised tianeptine as a whole was toxic Is this in regards to the usage of tianeptine, or is it in regards to the properties of tianeptine? Tianeptine sulfate does seem bene…
Sorry if my phrasing wasn't clear. The tianptine MARKET was toxic, not the compound itself; toxic meaning something I didn't want to be associated with, which is why we stopped selling it in 2017/2018.
The story behind the FDA raid of Nootropics Depot
Replying to Megatron_McLargeHuge · I though it was about Tianeptine. Or was that a different case?
Tianeptine, adrafinil, piracetam, aniracetam, oxiracetam, phenylpiracetam, pramiracetam, etc. You can read my long comment on it above. We had stopped selling tianeptine years prior to the government coming into our facility, but we were selling racetams and adrafinil on the ND s…
The story behind the FDA raid of Nootropics Depot
Replying to CrystalSplice · ND was selling tianeptine and andrafanil?!? What the fuck did they call it, and also what the fuck did they expect? Racetams should be left alone by the government in my opinion b…
Read my reply above. We stopped selling tianeptine years before the government came into our facility. NewMind, Powder City, Nootropic Source, and many others continued to sell tianptine LONG after we stopped... some to this very day. We willingly stopped in 2017 and 2018.

...continued... Now a little backstory here... we did sell tianeptine years prior. I explained it in the podcast, but I will reiterate some here. I went through a bad depression when I was younger, and almost took my life on a number of occasions. Coming out of that depression is…

Ordering emoxypine
Replying to tyham · IIRC, ND used to at least ask permission from their bank (payment processor?) and lawyers before each new product. Bromantine was one the bank wouldn't approve and they couldn't ev…
We have had to do legal analyses of any ingredient we want to sell for many years, and have to pre-clear those ingredients with our card processing bank. That was in place since around 2016. That is still in place. We still need to do that. It doesn't matter if things are natural…
Ordering emoxypine
Replying to MystikTrailblazer · Jfc, all those resources spent on stopping emoxypine? I wasn't even aware it's illegal in the US rather messaging has been different, which is moot here anyway. Aside. Thanks for …
Not just emoxypine, but piracetam and the other racetams, tianeptine, adrafinil, SARMs, peptides, etc.
Herbal GABAergics and dependency
Replying to bejaq · Very interesting, thanks for your take, especially sharing your individual experience! It's kinda strange medicine has focused so much on dependence-forming compounds, although i…
Benzos change the conformation of the GABA receptor complex and fuck with the mesolimbic reward system. That's the real issue. Read this study: [Hooked on benzodiazepines: GABAA receptor subtypes and addiction](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4020178/)
What Nootropics most significantly increase Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)?
Replying to Livai_BlackLagoon · Because there is a thread about BDNF there i'll ask my questions, if someone is able to give me his opinion. I have mine, kinda, but speculation ya know the boi (joking ; i just di…
> First it's about excess BDNF ; i read in a study a year ago that low OR "in excess" are both bad for mood, and that in excess it can even cause depression (in rat at least). Anything in excess is bad. Balance is what the body tries to achieve. We can use things to shift that ba…
Is polygala a strong enough MAOI that it shouldn’t be combined with aniracetam?
Replying to MuhammadTheProfit · I'm taking bromantane (reshipped), polygala, and tianeptine sulfate. I take LSD every several weeks and have been wondering if I should take a week or two off before psychedelic us…
Yeah, taking a week off before using something as strong as LSD is always a good idea.
Tongkat Ali Powder
Replying to Majalisk · Lol, that approach too. I’ve got a tough stomach, myself. Just took a bit ago in two edible film pouches with a glass of water, on empty stomach: MK-677 Red Reishi White jel…
I've only gotten the nausea once, and that was taking a 10% tablet and 2% capsule with berberine after a night of drinking. So I have felt what people are saying, but only once in a less-than-ideal situation. I can't remember the last time I threw up. Actually, I think I can. It…
My experience with ND’s NMN
Replying to RarageInTheGarage · I've been getting this same thing with the NMN tablets intermittently. I don't think I've noticed this with the Gotu Kola or EGCG tablets. It's usually partially digested when it …
How long after dosing was this?
ND: You ever look into an extract of Chinese Skullcap possibly Baicalin or baicalein or Oroxylin-A standardized?
Replying to thetenthgate · You should put tianeptine back in stock!
Ain't going to happen. Too risky from both a legal and regulatory standpoint.
Can I megadose the black seed extract ? + need some recommendation.

Tianeptine is way less addictive than kratom, IMO. I am talking normal doses here, though. The people you are seeing with rebound effects from tianeptine are taking stupid doses. >Have you an insight on other tolerance reductive substance like quercitin (said inhibition NOS, I do…
Can I megadose the black seed extract ? + need some recommendation.

Semax, Selank, P21, and tianeptine were the ones I talked about in that old post. Nigella sativa can absolutely help as well. Agmatine sulfate, too.
Immune Defense & positive blood test results

Yep, it is a shame. It helped a lot of people. I have had so many people over the years tell me it literally saved their lives. As with everything else, the morons ruin it for the regular people. I am sure people have committed suicide that wouldn't, had they had access to tianep…
Immune Defense & positive blood test results
Replying to sirsadalot · Sucks to hear that you have to resort to using kratom. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little disappointed about that. Have you ever tried bromantane, or other things for dopamine synthes…
It is what it is. The oxycodone after my shoulder surgery is the real culprit in all this. That's what led to the changes in my brain, and I have been dealing with that ever since. I have gone off kratom completely a few times without issue, though. Now it is more a choice to ope…
Questions about polygala
Replying to RSGC9 · Hope op doesn't mind me chiming in on his thread since I have some questions too. I recently quit caffeine for about 3 months after battling addiction for around 8 years. Quitting…
Glad to hear it is working so well. So polygala has a ton of things in it, and they all work together. So the mechanisms are complex. It's hard to say exactly which mechanism is helping most for you. However, I would imagine it is a combo of the NMDA, ACh, and BDNF effects giving…
Any intermittent-fasters here? When do you take your Noots?

Ohh, don't worry. You did not offend me. Sometimes I come out the gate a bit hot with my wording. That's just me ranting like I usually do. LOL Pharmacokinetics is a lot more complex than most people realize. The deeper you dig, the more complex it gets. It's really cool to learn…
MYASD, taking pills on empty stomach doesn’t matter right?

Tianeptine is very useful, when used properly. It just seemed to be that everyone decided to stop using it properly after a while. It's a shame, as it is very useful for many people.
MYASD, taking pills on empty stomach doesn’t matter right?
Replying to arrialexa · ahh tianeptine sulphate, I miss you sweet prince.. I don't suppose that would ever pop up on ND again at some point?
Nope, too risky. I have some other cool shit in the works, though! A natural extract with similar affinities!
MYASD, taking pills on empty stomach doesn’t matter right?

Depends on the veggie cap and substance. Our normal veggie caps dissolve super quickly in the stomach. We are testing out some coated capsules that stay intact till the intestines, but none of our products have those yet. Whether or not a substance dissolves quickly in the stomac…
