What Nootropics most significantly increase Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)?

What they were answering

Because there is a thread about BDNF there i'll ask my questions, if someone is able to give me his opinion. I have mine, kinda, but speculation ya know the boi (joking ; i just didn't search neuroscience a lot these last few months ; more into biohacking. And feel like my opinion on things are biased).

First it's about excess BDNF ; i read in a study a year ago that low OR "in excess" are both bad for mood, and that in excess it can even cause depression (in rat at least).

Second question is tricky, and about Tianeptine ; It increase BDNF in the amydgala [\[1\]](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17368617/), which kind of result can happen ? Increase bad memories anchoring regarding bad emotion and decrease of ALL bad memories anchor over time if the life's man is "zen" ?

Second bis\* : What can happen for a man who change everything in his lifefestyle (i.e. new start ; new city, new music artist f.e. rap to rock, new type of workout f.e. jogging to boxing club, new people to talk to, new style of at home activity f.e. switching from social media to watching fight action movies and comedy) while is overall amygdala BDNF is high vs low (tianeptine vs chronic stress) ?

I'M THE RAT if IT'S NEEDED lol

Anything in excess is bad. Balance is what the body tries to achieve. We can use things to shift that balance in one direction or the other, but overdoing it always has counterproductive effects. This is why most things are represented in a parabolic dose/response curve.

Tianeptine's mechanism is complex. Tianeptine doesn't bind to the TrkB receptor as something like 7,8-DHF does. It increases BDNF expression. It does this by modulating phosphorylated CREB, increasing creatine kinase activity, and increasing malate dehydrogenase activity.

External stimuli are always the best way to force structural changes in the brain. We can take certain compounds that make it easier. However, external stimuli affect so many signaling cascades that we just simply can't replicate pharmacologically. New starts, cities, music, experiences, and working out will drastically affect brain structures in a positive way. If you are taking things that increase BDNF, or mimic its actions, these changes can become even more drastic.

Which country is your Phenibut made in and what is the percentage purity?

Replying to saladon · I came here after seeing a thread on the Phenibut sub about how some other companies have products that feel stronger than ND's. I wonder how that's possible?

It's not. It's all a bunch of bullshit spewed by people misusing the product, often further spread by our competitors. It's horseshit, plain and simple. I don't get involved on /r/Phenibut because frankly I don't want th

[META] Modafinil discussions should not be prohibited anymore. The hype around it has died down, and it is still one of the most effective and safest nootropics.

My experiences with high dose (100mg+) tianeptine over a two month period

You need to start tapering off it now! You are not using it properly, and are going to cause yourself harm. Tianeptine is hard on the liver at those dosages. It is not meant to be taken at 650mg/day. Your usage is irresp

It is what it is. The oxycodone after my shoulder surgery is the real culprit in all this. That's what led to the changes in my brain, and I have been dealing with that ever since. I have gone off kratom completely a few
