Apigenin in the Morning or Night?

I just got some of the apigenin powder and I’m looking to try it out primarily as a sleep aid.
I know the Huberman stack lists it as 50mg taken 30 minutes before bed, but it seems like a lot of people also take it in the morning. Some people have also said the 200mg dose that ND recommends can be stimulating. So I’m just wondering what peoples experiences so far are and if there’s any good research I can read regarding it’s effects at different dosages and times of the day.
My nightly stack currently includes L-Theanine, Oleamide, Magnesium Glycinate, Magnolia Bark, and Andrographis.

I’ve been trying it out the last few nights at varying doses (50-200mg). At the lower doses I just took it right before bed, but last night I took 200mg around 8pm to get that calming, anti-stress effect, and went to bed around 12am. It worked great for calming me down and helping me fall asleep! But I’ve been waking up incredibly groggy in the morning. Once I get up and drink some water, I usually start moving pretty quick. Especially I have some coffee it’ll wake me up, but if I stay in bed I feel like I could stay there and sleep for a couple hours more and be totally out of it.
Is this a normal effect for apigenin? I haven’t changed anything else in my actual stack over the last 4 days that I’ve been taking it. The only other thing I can think that might be causing it is seasonal allergies perhaps, which I started getting about a week ago now. But the morning grogginess specifically didn’t start till I started taking the apigenin. I’ve seen some people say it has a super long half-life, so I’m wondering if it could just be sticking around in my system too long. But I haven’t really seen any reports of excessive grogginess like mine. Any thoughts?

200mg right before bed might just be too high of a dose for you. When I take the 200mg is earlier in the evening, around 5-6pm. That gives me the calming effect I am looking for in the evening, while making falling asleep easier. I have not been noticing any grogginess in the morning. Actually, I have been waking up easier without an alarm. It could be that you are just taking too high of a dose too late in the day. Maybe try moving the dose to 5pm and see if that prevents the grogginess.
