Significant depression/anxiety from 7,8-dihydroxyflavone. High BDNF thoughts?

I'm seeing a significant ~"sinking" depression/anxiety with typical dosages of 7,8-dihydroxyflavone. This is counter to its intended purpose, but not out of the realm of rationality — we lust after BDNF promoting substances, but there is a line of inquiry suggesting high/up-regulated BDNF/TrkB (as well as low) is found in/contributes to depression (or in reality, it's just a lot more nuanced than just low/high). Problem is I've only really read one paper on the topic (https://www.nature.com/articles/4002075). I'm wondering if anyone has this as an area of interest/would like to expound?

Something changed or am I thinking of another substance?

There's a reference standard for 7,8-DHF. There's no reference standard for 5,7,8-THF, which is what we think we got. We worked with Colmeric to confirm the supply at the time was not 7,8-DHF, using the Sigma reference material. Remember, this was a while back, though. I have not tested any of BBB's products since they were bought out. I've also never heard of Antaeus Labs. Perhaps they got real 7,8-DHF more recently. I'll buy some and run it through the lab.
We were trying to verify if what was being sold to everyone a while back as 7,8-DHF was actually 5,7,8-trihydroxyflavone. However, we have been having issues getting reliable reference standards. If someone gets actual 7,8-DHF, there are reference standards to confirm its identity/purity, though. Also, this other stuff that I think is 5,7,8-THF is definitely psychoactive, and very similar to 7,8-DHF. So it likely has almost identical subjective effects.
