Really interesting podcast here with Paul Stamets Mycologist, it covers really interesting topics like the neurogenesis effect of psilocybin, the benefits of lion mane, the untap potential of mushroom to help numerous illness. I really was blow away by everything he said, this guy claim that a mushroom trip cured is stutter, which by itself is really interesting nootropic wise.

Any thoughts on this response from Stamets another commenter posted? Do you think he's using mycellium for cost savings or do you think he really considers his product to be equivalent to mushroom body based supplements/extracts? Would you consider testing one of his products for active ingredients?
I'm curious how much of a difference you find subjectively between your 1:1 and 1:10 mushroom extracts now that you have the concentrated cordyceps and reishi. Do you find you lose any positive effects without some of the peripheral compounds or that you sensitize quicker to the 1:10?
Also, any chance you will offer a combined blend of mushroom powders in the future? I'm curious if you have experimented with taking a little bit of each mushroom stacked together rather than a lot of one and what the results were.

Their products already have been tested multiple times by a bunch of different organizations. They just leave out the brand names on the results, since he has been known to be litigious. I would be a lot more vocal about this shit if I did not have to worry about BS lawsuits. I am pissed, though. The whole thing is a massive scam. It's rice, for Christ's sake!
His "response" is laughable. "There is no scientifically validated test for beta glucans, let alone a ‘guaranteed’ one.” Yeah, except for the ones approved by the AOAC...
I could at least have some respect for the mycelium argument, if they were doing cultured extracts. I'd disagree on a lot of it, but I would at least respect they had a logical position. There is no logical argument, save for cost savings, to grow mycelium on rice, then grind the whole thing up and call it mushroom. NONE! If you think mycelium is the answer, culture it pure. At least have a somewhat defensible position to argue.
I am not going to be as vocal as I want about this, nor will I be releasing testing results of their products. I have enough fights to deal with already, without picking new ones with large companies. However, look for the information. It's out there. Once you find it, you'll realize just how much of a scam this whole thing is.
