Really interesting podcast here with Paul Stamets Mycologist, it covers really interesting topics like the neurogenesis effect of psilocybin, the benefits of lion mane, the untap potential of mushroom to help numerous illness. I really was blow away by everything he said, this guy claim that a mushroom trip cured is stutter, which by itself is really interesting nootropic wise.

There are a lot of people in here defending the mycelium on grain shit today. Seems strange, right? I think some of the brands are starting to feel the heat. The AOAC, FDA, and now USP have all come out with critical statements regarding the mycelium on grain products, and it is only going to get worse. Mycelium is not a mushroom, and growing it on grain, then grinding the whole thing up and expecting people to believe it has the same (or better) active ingredients as a whole fruiting body is craziness. It's fucking myceliated rice! The polysaccharide numbers they use to "prove" the actives are nonsense, and just show starch content. Hell, anyone can take some iodine at home, and mix it with whatever products they want to see how much starch is in it. I invite anyone to go do that. Pick out a bunch of the "mushroom" supplements out there, and put them in a solution with iodine. Then tell me how dark purple that solution gets. Then do the same with any of our whole fruiting body ones. If you still think you are not getting ripped off by ground up rice after that, I don't know what to tell you. The USP study I posted above is clear as day.
