Despite all the great evidence around it, why is l-carnosine so little discussed here?

Instead of flooding this post with links, im just going to post the selfhacked write up on it. Plenty of studies are linked there.

Uh thats good to know! I used phosphatidylserine as powder till now. I didn't feel anything, but I supposed this not to be something you really feel.
Today I received phosphatidylserine conjugated to DHA from Swanson. It's a capsule filled with powder, not a softgel. Do you have an opinion on that?

The concept is okay, but a capsule is not ideal. You need to use a softgel to prevent oxygen from degrading them. Both phosphatidylserine and DHA oxidize easily. That's why fish oil spoils quickly when left out in the open. The companies we use for our fish oil softgels purge their machines with nitrogen to displace the air when filling fish oil softgels. I know Source Naturals claims to use a special process with their phosphatidylserine/DHA capsules, to ensure stability. I am not sure if Swanson does, though. I also do not know the specifics of Source Naturals' process. So I am skeptical of its efficacy.
The company that makes the phosphatidylserine/DHA raw material, Enzymotec, are the same people that make the phosphatidylserine we use in our softgels. They just supply it in bulk to manufacturers, though. Swanson is likely just encapsulating it in bulk through a normal process. They do include some antioxidants in their ingredient list. So perhaps that is how they are combating the oxidation. I'd have to do some more research on it. I'd just keep the bottle sealed well and in the fridge for best stability.
