Despite all the great evidence around it, why is l-carnosine so little discussed here?

Instead of flooding this post with links, im just going to post the selfhacked write up on it. Plenty of studies are linked there.

What is SmartPS for? You could get Phosphatidylserine and Phosphatidylcholine way cheaper as bulk powder

Phosphatidylserine is highly unstable. Powdered PS is pretty useless, as it breaks down very quickly. We went with the SmartPS softgels because they are proven to have ZERO degradation after 24 months. Regular phosphatidylserine formulas show 20% degradation after 18 weeks in capsules. As a bulk powder, it's even more unstable; due to greater contact with air and moisture.
Phosphatidylcholine is also highly reactive with oxygen, and it breaks down rapidly at room temperature without a stabilizing method. Bulk powder is not ideal. Also, the source and initial oxidation state play a big role in how stable they are.
Some compounds are just not good for bulk powder. The same goes for SAMe. It should not be sold in bulk powder, as it oxidizes very quickly, and needs to have a coating and be put into blister packs. Trust me, I'd sell bulk powders of them if they were stable, as people like bulk powder. It's just not responsible, due to the instability of the compounds.
