Despite all the great evidence around it, why is l-carnosine so little discussed here?

Instead of flooding this post with links, im just going to post the selfhacked write up on it. Plenty of studies are linked there.

Because people prefer acute mental enhancement to sustained longevity improvement; or at least they prefer discussing the former more. I take L-carnosine all the time. It's fantastic for exercise enhancement. It not only helps maintain ATP stores, but also buffers pH changes from lactic acid buildup. It's great for helping to maintain proper muscle function during intense exercise. It's one of the main reasons people supplement with beta-alanine for lifting. I think it's just not a trendy supplement anymore, so people don't talk about it. Lifters focus on beta-alanine mostly, since they are looking to increase muscle concentrations. However, beta-alanine does not lead to increased serum or brain levels, which makes it not useful for the cognitive or longevity aspects.
