Lion's Mane clinical trials

Hi there. Are there any concrete clinical trials that prove the efficacy of Lion's Mane in improving cognition or memory? Reason I ask is I've been taking 1gram of Host Defense Lion's Mane going on three months to hopefully repair damage done through binge drinking. I've found a few links online but I'm told there is not enough research to support claims that it can enhance memory or increase NGF. Is anyone taking Lion's Mane and what motivated you to invest in this supplement? What convinced you that it works? Thanks.

Do people ferment mushrooms, or is this something you have ever considered? I think it's awesome that ND sells fermented ginseng, and I always wonder why more fermented supplements aren't sold. I have no idea if anyone ferments mushrooms, or if that is possible, the bioavailability problem just immediately reminded me of fermentation.

We would not want to just ferment something for the sake of it. We'd want to make sure the compounds made from the fermentation were active/an improvement.
