The different sources are bound to different fatty acids. Soy is mostly polyunsaturated acids. Bovine is saturated, monounsaturated, and long-chain polyunsaturated acids.

Yeah, that is always a risk. However, if the plant-based stuff is ineffective, then it's just wasted money. I am still curious about trying the bovine sources, just to see if there really is a subjective difference.

So far all the plant-based sources do not seem to have the fatty acid profile needed to give the cognitive effects. I cannot recommend any current sources, unfortunately.

I'd say pretty much. The data shows that, and my personal trials of of PS show no real noticeable cognitive benefits. It might still be neuro/cellularprotective, though. So it's probably not a total waste. Yeah, prions

The DHA is not the issue. It's the fatty acid profile of the PS. It shouldn't hurt anything, though.
