Phosphatidylserine seems to be a popular ingredient in the emerging Nootropic industry. What is it supposed to do? Is it effective?

I believe that the difference between bovine and soy-derived ps is that bovine ps is attached to dha or aa.

The soy-based PS is mainly attached to polyunsaturated acids. The bovine is attached mainly to saturated, monounsaturated, and long chain polyunsaturated acids. There is also a study showing that the soy-based PS did not lead to the same cognitive effects as the bovine.
